Apprenticeships

Earn & Learn

Upon successful completion of the first year career prep program Orienteering, start working in a paid Apprenticeship while honing your skills and interests with classes and pursing career interests with our professional certificates.

 

Develop and expand your professional network by working with colleagues from around the city, nation and world. Apprenticeships locations vary in surrounding communities in and around Indianapolis, Indiana.  The local community network of employers foster a system of support outside of the workplace.

What will my schedule look like?

Monday - Thursday
Work in Paid Apprenticeship
Approximately 32 hours per week
8:00am - 5:00pm (Hours & Locations Vary)

Friday
Classes onsite at Apprentice University during Fall and Spring Sessions

How many Apprenticeships will I have?

A minimum of three with a maximum of five apprenticeships, each lasting an 4 - 6 months.

What types of roles do Apprentices typically have?

Across various industries Apprentices have worked in these roles:

  • Marketing and Social Media

  • Project Management 

  • Human Resources 

  • Sales Development 

  • Information Technology

When I graduate from AU, will employers hire me?

Yes! But don't just take our word for it...

Employers are clamoring for employees with durable skills, and demonstrated experience. Upon graduation, you will have a resume full of these desired skills with the ability to demonstrate your knowledge and talent.
