Fall 2023 Courses

Government & Economics

This course studies both government and economics in unison. Students will delve into a variety of economic basics, such as supply and demand, sources of prosperity, the role of private property, and the role of government.

Know What You Believe

Students will gain insight into how to answer questions such as: What do all religions in the world have in common? Is there proof the Bible is true and correct? Conversations will prepare students to rationalize those answers.

Positive Intelligence (PQ)

Your mind is your best friend. But it can also be your worst enemy. Join this class to increase your mental fitness.   Backed by research-based tools to strengthen the part of your brain that serves you and quiet the part that sabotages you, we'll use the program "Positive Intelligence" developed by Shirzad Chamine.  Sustained change towards a more positive mind requires laying down neural pathways to form new habits through consistent daily practice. This is what our PQ Program empowers you to do. At the end of the course, you will be able to handle life's challenges with a more positive mindset and less stress.

Fundamentals of Marketing

Learn the fundamentals of marketing that will enable you to discover, create, develop, and present a marketing plan. Explore and research the impact and discover how to leverage today's ever-evolving platforms. Contemporary and historical case studies will entice you as you gather skills for your capstone marketing project.

The Great Reset

This course takes a deep dive into The Great Reset, its advocates, and the concepts of environmental, social, and governance (ESG) and fascism. We will apply Biblical worldviews, history, economics, and political science to pursue a review of current events surrounding The Great Reset.

Cybersecurity

The cybersecurity fundamentals course will provide an introductory understanding of the principles underlying the cybersecurity field.  Students will gain insight into the importance of cybersecurity in business and technology, and the critical role cybersecurity professionals play.  Topics will include foundational cybersecurity principles, risk management, offensive and defensive practices, and incident response and recovery.  By the end of the course, the student should be able to sit for the (ISC)2 Certificate of Cybersecurity and/or ISACA CSX-P exam.

Introduction to Entrepreneurship

Recommended for second year students, this course teaches how to develop and test ideas by rapidly gathering marketplace feedback and searching for unmet needs of customers. Students learn the fundamentals of innovation and entrepreneurship along with the skills necessary to commence running a competitive business able to flourish in today's global economy.
